The Center for Energy Law and Policy sponsors interdisciplinary research projects on current and emerging energy law and policy issues that draw from the full breadth of knowledge and expertise at Penn State. These projects engage faculty, researchers and students from across the Penn State system, as well as external stakeholders in industry, government and the non-profit sector.

The Center sponsors projects that are interdisciplinary in nature and demonstrate how emerging science and scholarship can be harnessed to inform legal and regulatory approaches related to energy extraction, processing, transmission and utilization. Our work covers all sectors of the energy space and addresses issues from local to global scale.
